Bred in Germany by Dr. Hans Nagel, Salaa El Dine was a popular stallion, who although never shown... was put through a mandatory licensing system when just a youngster, and listed as “Premium” in the German rating system. He never left his birthplace, yet he sired champions around the globe, and became the cornerstone of numerous breeding programs. He was eventually awarded the German Arabian Horse Society’s “Elite” title before his death in 2006.
Shaikh Al Badi was simply a “Living Legend” in the Egyptian industry with over 600 registered foals, which also makes him a “Legacy Stallion.” In 1972 he won the Reserve U.S. National Champion Futurity Stallion title.
Formerly a "Leading Living Egyptian Stallion"
Sire of National Champions on every continent!
An International Legend...(who in recent stud book research is one of only 2 stallions on the Leading Sires list to have 2 of his own sons on the list as well.)
In 1993, both he and his son, Thee Desperado, in a rare display of genetic power...were each awarded National Top Ten Stallion Awards in both the United States and Canada. Between 1989 and 1994 he was the leading Arabian breeding stallion in the world...of all bloodlines! (These are amazing feats, especially considering Straight Egyptians only make up 1 to 2 % of the total Arabian Horse population.) "Now named a "Leading Legacy Stallion." Book closed to outside mares.
From historic legends of "The Bloody Shouldered Arabian" comes the modern representative... *The Source CC. As a "Leading Juvenile Sire Worldwide" (during his eligible years), 2002 Egyptian Event 3-year-old Champion and 2004 Egyptian Event Top 5 Liberty Horse, he offers size, beauty, and incredible motion. The Source CC was sold overseas to New Zealand, but he was recently shown to the 2013 Reserve East Coast Championship in Australia.
